if i do the usual..get my hair wet...and put on the olive oil then leave it on overnight and wash it out the next day.
but what would happen if i didnt wash it out if i just rinsed it?
would it be softer or just oily?

Definitely wash it out if you use olive oil. Acutally, jojoba oil works excellent as an overnight leave-in TX. Same thing.... wash it out the next AM. And, you can use a bit of jojoba oil with your conditioner too.

it is a good idea to leave it in overnight. good thinking! but when you wake up, wash it out with shampoo. if you dont, then your hair is going to look greasy, like you havent washed it in a couple of weeks
