The best thing to use is a brass rod, or hardwood dowel and tap it out. A cleaning rod will usually NOT work or jamb it in tighter, unless it is a ONE PIECE ROD. You can get a small diameter (They come in 36" lengths) Brass Rod at Home Depot or Lowe's Home Centers. The Brass rod will not damage your barrel regardless if it is smooth bore or rifled barrel......

that is like "invoice" mentioned and Tom Gaylord calls it the artillery carry. My clarification purely isn't any greater suitable, yet according to threat greater convenient and greater convenient to appreciate. in case you're perfect handed #a million - discover the steadiness element to your rifle with your left hand. >purely like it sounds, your rifle would desire to stability. #2 - enable the rifle to kick back on your open left palm, do no longer squeeze the rifle. you ought to use gentle finger stress, do exactly no longer squeeze the rifle. #3 - the rifle would desire to easily incredibly touch your shoulder, do no longer jam it in. for a springer to accomplish nicely it may actually be allowed to balk freely. #4 - something is the comparable as with all rifle, sight photograph, administration your respiratory, and squeeze the set off(don' t jerk it) To sight-in a springer i take advantage of a tightly rolled up towel**. relax the rifle on your open palm on precise of the towel. **springers ordinarily do unlike a good relax(sandbags, etc)

Use the rod from a .22 caliber rifle cleaning kit. If it won't go fairly easily when it reaches the obstruction, tap gently, don't hammer forcefully.

pump it up about 10 times. then as you are looking down the barrel to see if it is still there, pull the trigger very very slowly. the slower the better so the air will push it out.
