Do you mean the police entrance exam?
Well, that is totally up to the agency offering it.
But, in every place I know... you can take it as many times as you want. They will put you on the list according to scores.... So, the more you take it the better chance you have of getting a better score.
That said.... many large agencies only give it once a year....
If you mean in the academy itself? I have taught at two academies in two states.... They both had the same policy... Fail two tests... and your gone.

do you mean a test while your in the academy or when your testing to apply for the academy.
I know in California (while in the academy) you take a test if you fail it the first time then you have to retake the test..if you still fail it then your done, fired, kicked out, go find a new job..
