The guy that I've been casually dating for a few months now is a very 'keep to himself' type of guy. The other night, I asked him if he was excited about our hometown team being in the WS, and he really opened up. He told me all about his family and problems that he's having at home. He talked for almost 2 hours. I really do love him and all of this made me feel even closer to him, but I still think that, to him, this is still a casual thing. Or does the fact that he's starting to open up like this mean that maybe this is becoming more than just a casual thing to him too?

keep thinking of it as casual, until he actually says he is ready to make some form of higher commitment to you. The worst thing a woman can do is to assume there is more meaning to a relationship than there really is.

It is wonderful that he's opening up to you, but give him time to do so. This is a new experience to him, to open up, and often it takes men longer than women, to fully commit to a relationship.

Be careful b4 you commit your heart.Love grows over time.A few months is not long enough for you to know vital things about a person. Most guys are itching to vent, you just have to know what to ask,and not to ask.

casual meaning...what? If you have already slept with the boy then there probably won't be a future because more likely than not he is with other women as well. Don't mean to rain on your parade, but men think differently than women. They think sex and we think relationship. If you haven't slept with him then you may have a shot at a long lasting meaningful relationship :)

Sounds like you have him in the right track to be with you
good luck and just listen to his wishes and concerns and before long he will listen to yours and who knows what could happen then...
