If in your state and locality you can buy a gun from an FFL dealer at a store without a permit, you can buy a gun at a gun show without a permit.
THERE IS NO GUN SHOW LOOPHOLE.
All gun sales at shows are regulated in exectly the same way as gun sales at stores. If person-to-person sales are legal without a dealer in between in your state, they're legal at gun shows. If they're not, they're not.

You don't need a permit to purchase a gun in most places. Just need a permit to carry it concealed. Sometimes they don't run a background check at the gun shows if thats what you mean. Better hurry, more and more gun shows are doing them now.

If a permit is required to buy a gun in your state;

1. from a dealer, but not a private party, you will have to have a permit to buy from a dealer at a gun show, but not to buy from a private party

2. regardless of who you buy it from, you have to have the permit

Gun Shows are not the magical "Law Free Purchase" zones that the gun control freaks would have you believe.

Of course, if permits are not required to buy a gun, (like here in Arizona) you don't have to have a permit to buy a gun at a gun show.

In most of the US, you don't need a permit to buy a gun, whether it's at a gun show or in a store. Check your state's regulations.

You don't need a permit to purchase a gun here in Florida..At the gun show they only do a background check on you..You fill out a application and they call it in to like the FBI and then they call back and they either say yes or no..The only time you need a permit is to carry the gun on you.

Unless you live in a few of the really backward states or municipalities in the US, you can buy a gun from essentially anyone at any time without a permit.

Depends on your state of residence. Not all states require a permit for gun ownership. Residents of FL may purchase handguns from licensed dealers so long as they are 21 years of age, and are not convicted felons as determined by a background check. They must also wait the required number of days after purchasing before they can take posession of the weapon. If you wish to carry your weapon concealed, then you must obtain the proper FL permit for that.

In a few states you still can but only from private sellers and not distributors. If you can buy or sell guns without having to transfer them through a firearms dealer, you can do the same at a show.

No different than selling a gun to your neighbor.

There is no 'gun license'. You need your drivers license though. Or are you from out of state? Because if thats the case you cannot go through a private seller. It's a felony for you and him if he does it knowingly. And he WILL check your drivers license.

Yes it is true, however they will check to make sure you are not a convicted felon. Convicted felons can not own guns.
Hand guns have even tougher regulations where there is a waiting period between the time you purchase the gun and the time you can pick it up.
