A freeze has been placed on my bank account due to a old cell phone bill and they doubled the amount, I need assistance on what should I do?

Besides additional interest and fees, some states allow the bank account to be frozen for twice what is due.

You should pay the bill so you can get your bank account unfrozen. The time to have negotiated a settlement was BEFORE they got the judgment.

Creditors are much more aggressive in pursuing judgments. Amounts that use to just be written off are showing up in court.

That is what can happen if you ignore 'old bills'. My guess is that they obtained a legal judgment against you and used same to freeze your assets at the bank. The amount is doubled, no doubt, due to accumulated interest and collection fees.
