Thin skinned people visit here once, see all the anger and hostility, and just leave.
It's very seldom anymore that you see legitimate religious or spiritual questions because of all the rabid atheist attacks on any legitimate question.

It helped me do that.
While using this forum to find answers to real religious questions I was struggling with. I learned that there were many Christians who had no tolerance for tough questions, who then turned around and sent me nasty emails.
That helped me in a strange way.

Yes, it does.
Not much here gets a reaction out of me. I can't remember the last time I answered something with emotion.
It used to be different. Some questions/answers would get me riled up.

I think it's more a matter of maturity. Most of us recognize that people are here spouting off their ideas and we can let most of it roll off our backs. You can tell the whiners and childish ones because they either withdraw their questions when people make fun of them, or they post another one that insults everyone who disagreed with them.

I sure hope so - thicker skin will prevent road rage, and other rages.

The skin gets thicker, or they crawl away licking their wounds...

Not really. It just helps folks to prepare for face-to-face debates, maybe. It helps folks stay informed with their systems of belief/non-belief.

I think so. You start to take some people for what they really are, hateful bigots (on all sides) and you start shrugging it off.
