How much does it cost to get your income tax return filled out for you?

it all depends on the tax preparer fees, some charge as little as $50 and as high as $100.00 or more.
Check with a Local IRS office in you city, to see if they can prepare it for you. IRS will prepare them for you, I believe it depends on your wages $32 or below and the type of forms you need to file.
Check you phone directory for a local IRS office, you need to make an appointment. Or call 1-800-829-1040 they can look up an office near you.
There could be a VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)office in your city also, usually located in city library or other city offfice, which they also file your return for free.

It depends on where you go, and how complex your return is. An simple return someplace like H&R Block, including a state return, is probably under $100, but if you have additional forms, for example if you itemize, it will be more.

The other estimates are correct. I work for a tax service. However, you can get you taxes done for free at most local libraries if you meet the income requirements. Also, if you do it yourself, you may qualify for free efile on the IRS website. (That only handles your federal return, not state).

It depends on complexity. Low end is around $50 then sky is the limit. Bill Gates will pay more than you.
