if i bought a playstation 3 from amazon.com, coming from america how much import tax would i have to pay. it costs £244. i dont have any idea at all, so just give me an estimate if you dont know exactly.

I can't see the playstation in the list of common internet goods so you will probably have to ring them.

My friend brought a PSP from the US and he got taxed £50/60! I was shocked.
I also brought a guitar not so long ago (which weighed about 12lbs) from the US and I had to pay £70 import tax before it could leave the postage place in the UK, to be delivered... I wasn't very happy. It also states that if you don't pay it within 20 days of you receiving that letter, it'll get sent back to where it came from.

It all depends on how much the item is worth, so a PS3 could have a high tax range.

So there's a rough estimate. I hope it isn't too much for you mate!
