Two of them came to my door a week ago. I was able to give my defenses against Christianity - I am an ex-Christian apologist.

They did not have good answers to my questions and the older of the two promised to come back in a week. (They wanted to have a home Bible study, to which I concurred, but only he returned)

He later identified himself as an elder and after three hours of intense discussion and my showing him my reasons for being an atheist, he suddenly had this look of great relief and spoke:

"It's all been a lie.... I've been brainwashed..."

Today, we are both instrumental in de-converting Christians of all beliefs. I won't list my sources, as they are far too many to list here, but suffice it to say, if you really, really, want to know the truth, you'll find a way to find it...

Not in your tired Christian sources either - find out for yourselves!

It seems unlikely that a genuine elder among Jehovah's Witnesses would abandon his faith after a single three-hour conversation just one week after a single initial discussion.

Likely, the questioner will hurriedly share the name and former congregation of the Jehovah's Witness involved in this claim ...unless the atheist questioner believes his readers should rely upon faith...(?)

I don't believe anyone can "let go" of a religion so quickly..especially then not believe in God ..That seems impossible to me..especially for a JW. I was a JW for 35 years..I am still a Christian, but just letting go of my beliefs took years and years and years..and still to this day, I have little doubts of wonder come up. No way would he deny God..If you were able to get him to understand that maybe his beliefs were mislead ..then that I can see to a degree..but, not deny there is a God.

Oh, give me a break? like I am going to believe that.
They go door to door all the time and like they never heard what you have to say before?
What are we all supose to do now, have this ah haw experience and convert to be an atheist?
So what is the future hope that you have as an atheist?
What hope did you give him for the furture for the world in general?

Yeah I'm sure. I believe that that is a lie. If you are telling the truth, you should give us all the info u can on him becasue most likely it wasn't a witness.

That is absolutely horrifying...in a luring way.
I can't actually believe that you managed to do that...or did you...
It's bad that you're convincing people to be...atheist? Just leave people alone when it comes to religion. I guess it's good that you share your "beliefs" with other people...
Good luck with your deconverting strategy. I'm still a strong Christian.

Honey, if you think JW's are Christian, or that you could HONESTLY UNDO the working of Almighty God in the life of an individual, you are sorely DELUDED...much more than you think Christians are......

Let me thank you from the bottom of my heart, what your doing is more much important then you can possibly imagine. Lucifer- the bearer of light, is a term I use as myself and for years I have been re-introducing people to life itself. Most of them are made as Hell to knowing that they missed a few important facts and have been blinded by false friendships and greedy religious leaders.
