Just drinking - no, but if you diet, you will feel fuller and your skin will be hydrated.

Water itsself does not make you lose weight but the side effects of drinking it can. For instance drinking a full glass before you eat will make you feel full faster...
Contrary to what people have said -- drinking water will not make you gain water weight. In fact the more water you drink the less you will retain, as long as your consistent with your drinking.
I personally have a hard time drinking water unless I am really purposeful and motivated about it. When I am I drink about 3/4 to a full gallon a day. I find if I get a big water bottle and drink from that even if I refill it with tap water (our tap is good where I live) then it helps me know how much I drink and I can take it with me everywhere, and I drink more. I love love love SIGG bottles too. Anyway the first few days you will have to pee like nuts but once your body adjusted get on the scale I'll bet you actually dropped a few pounds even if you haven't done a single thing different other than just drinking a ton more water.
The majority of americans are dehydrated and don't even know it. Your body will intentionally hold on to water and basically store it if it's not getting enough. If it gets enough consistently for a few days, (typically the 3rd day I notice a big change in my weight) then it stops holding onto the excess. With that said if you drink well then stop drinking your water, you'll seem to gain a few pounds after a few days because your body is holding it again.
Anyway water does not making you lose weight but it's a really good supressant and it makes your body feel good because you NEED it, and feeling good will motivate you to eat better and take better care of yourself.

People say it will but I do not think it make that big a difference. People who drink a lot of water may be more full and therefore not eat as much. A lot water may flush out the kidneys and help you maintain electrolytes. At anyrate-some people swear by it.

It can if you eat healthy along with drinking a good amount of water.
Your body needs water to live. You can actually die alot sooner from dehydration than you can from starvation. You need water for your body to function normally and this includes processing, using and burning calories properly...without water or with less water than recommended your body isn't efficient.

No, unless you are using the water to replace other more caloric drinks, or filling up on water to eat less at your meals.

Yes. Water is your bodies greatest natural hunger supressant. It will take away your appetite, and keep you from consuming over, more caloric foods. But it is still healthy to eat other things too. lol
