There again, some people find release from the pain of day-to-day life in their religion. I know religious people who seem to derive a lot of hope and strength from their belief in God.
Similarly, it's possible that people who have had an easy life are less inclined to search for comfort in God when they get all the comfort they need out of the material world.
I agree that a lot is going to stem from life experiences. But just as much (if not more) is going to be a reflection of how each of us assimilates those experiences and incorporates them in to our overall personalities.

No I have a different belief, those who have experienced some of the greatest types of grief, through no fault of there own. Such as physical,[ holding you hand over a hot stove burner ] Beatings so bad that it tore your clothes off.
Sexual abuse, I will not go into that.
Emotional, Calling one ugly to the point that no matter how much someone tells you you're not, y ou feel you are still ugly.
I could go on for hours. Let me tell you I believe in Jehovah and Jesus, and Jah's plan for mankind and this earth, that under even worse torture, I would still believe in them.
For what they offer us just for believing in them and their mercy and kindness, and the sacrifices they have made personally so that man can benefit by worshipping Jehovah.
Revelation 21: 3,4 - Isaiah 33: 24; - 35: 5-9; - 65: 1-25
So many believe that He is mean, but he's not the mean one., it's Satan that brings suffering to mankind, or man creates his own suffering, by his actions, to himself and others.

I would say acceptance is one thing and following is another, theres a parable of the seeds which illustrates what people do when they hear the bible teachings; some people do nothing, some people give up when the going gets tough, some people follow the teachings the best they can.
That said it is easier to follow God's teachings if your life isn't extremely difficult, but often God can help through prayer.

I have lived a life, as they say and had much poverty, violence, drugtaking and abuse. Because I know what hardship is, it makes it all the easier to know Jesus and exactly what He's done for me. I love Him so much for the way He turned my life around and He's been with me now for 22 years. Incidentally, people in third world countries find it so much easier to believe in Him and experience many miracles because they do not have the blockages and barriers that material possession and comfort cause. Those with nothing cannot pay for doctors or provision and often trust in God to heal and provide for them :)

Could be, but I have a different perspective. I grew up in a very abusive home, and I learned at a young age that God and Jesus were among the only things I could count on. BUT yeah... my life experience has taught me that the people who should protect don't, so I do on occassion find myself doubting. But I always come back to my faith.

Christians are human. THIS MEANS THAT THEY MAKE MISTAKES. If you are undergoing a conversion experience, take this advice from a "dead again" christian. One, your experience is REAL. Two, do not listen to what people tell you but follow your own reading of the bible, always remembering the verse "John 3:16". Whatever you are told in church or fellowship groups, that verse should always be in your mind. If you keep that to the forefront of your faith, you will never go wrong.Remember, churches are full of fallible human beings, though most people you will meet in "churches" would ever admit to this. As an aside you will never be offered more sex anywhere than as a member of an established church and if you don't believe me, join one!

no the opposite tends to be true, how come most people in prison have found god?
I have had an easy life (increibly so) and I dont believe in the bible. If I needed the bible for comfort or reassurance, I probable would find it easy to accept, however I have never really suffered any hardship (touch wood)

In Catholic mysticism, the greater Whole, when interpreted at a spiritual level, is the Mystical Body of Christ "in whom we live, move and have our being." This mystical body is not only symbolized, but believed to be substantially present in the consecrated host. During the year for a specified time, every church exposes the host high above the altar in a golden container made in the symbolical shape of the Sun with radiating rays. This is the ritual of the "perpetual Adoration". At every moment in one or several churches around the globe, this ritual is being performed to symbolize the constant and encompassing Presence of Christ. The circular host is of course the symbol of divine perfection — the supreme mandala.

properly, Jesus pronounced as him Father, so I do too =) i think of many women folk surely everyone seems to be greater gentle to the Holy Spirit than a good number of adult adult males...they have this "macho" component the place they are too proud to invite instructions Lol, so it would be like asserting "i'm no longer clever, can not look after it " in the event that they might desire to coach to God yet secretly i might suspect they call out for help each now and then The bible is written this manner, a girl ought to be an occasion by utilising dwelling the existence and that they are going to be won by utilising your organic communication, no longer by utilising preaching

I'm sure there will be someone out there who knows exactly who it was who said it but ...
The Jesuits say 'Give me a child until he is seven and he is mine for life.'
I think you have it the wrong way round, to be honest. The most dedicated Christians I have met have certainly not had easy lives - rather the opposite. .Rich fat cats who claim to be Christians should look at the eye of the needle and tell us if they think they are going to pass through it.
