Does anyone have a good recipe for polymer clay which can be made from every day materials?

My daughter and I have made "slime" from glue+H2O+borax solution and had a lot of fun playing with it but now we'd like to try our hand at something firmer and bake-able.

Thanks for your ideas!

You can't 'make' polymer clay at home. The recipe that you have is for 'Salt Dough', which is very basic, but not good for charms. Salt dough has to be either air dried, or baked in a low oven. Both methods are a little tricky. I have a book on salt dough and I have been experimenting with it to make ornaments for a summer art camp class.
