Poor thing....it's scared and disorientated because it can't see.
Just be patient, and make sure his food water, and litter box is easy to get to. Also, don't move anything in the house such as furniture, so he doesn't get confused.
All you can do is comfort him as much as possible.
Also, you should take him to the vet to make sure he doesn't have other medical problems that's not causing pain or discomfort.

I don't know your cat but cats normally transition to even total blindness pretty easily because their other senses are so keen. I would suspect that she might be in pain. Have the vet check her out. Make sure not to move her water bowl, food bowl and especially the litter box. This could easily make her very anxious. Watch her carefully. If she's not in pain maybe you can see what is making her so anxious. Maybe she can't find YOU at night.

Is it cataracts? Glaucoma? What did the vet diagnose?
Some types are painful, but most aren't. The cat probably is unsure where everyone is and needs reassurance.
When he/she starts crying just TALK to him and let him know where you are. Pick him up so he knows someone still cares, and take him with you when you go to bed. This way he won't feel he's so alone.

my cat will hunt (toys) in the midst of the night and do this. what approximately keeping a squirt bottle via the mattress? My 21 year previous could sleep with me and became continuously coming and going ...stored waking me as much as get under the covers. What approximately locking him in a room some distance out of your mattress room? or putting him in a kennel in the process the night? i individually do no longer understand what to assert... communicate to your vet approximately giving it some valum or something like that? good good fortune

All good answers...well...except from Dog. Sheesh.
Poor kitty. Just try to comfort him/her the best you can. Put something with your smell on it in a favorite spot. Has the vet given you any options? Euthanasia might be the best option.

Your cat is getting up there in age. As you said she is already blind. It sounds like she is unhappy and could be in pain. It may be his/her time. I would call your vet ASAP and let them know.

Maybe she/he's in pain??? Your cat might have glaucoma which causes painful pressure behind the eye. There are meds to treat this, so see your vet! Now.

i think it is either scared or gets lost..my oldest cat at times at night gets in the living room and cries till you call out to her or the baby cat goes too her..i have wondered if she is losing her sight..once the baby goes to her we dont hear her anymore..it tends to happen when her primary owner my son isnt home and i dont know if she is looking for him or what..

I know this is horrible but you dont want to see your cat cry and in pain. If you already took him to the vet have him put to sleep I know its hard but its better for him. Would you want to live blind?
