I think what you mean to say is "What are the most "WIDESPREAD" (or "GEOGRAPHICALLY WIDESPREAD) languages in the world? "

English may not be your native language and believe me, even we native English speakers make mistakes too sometimes.

English, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Arabic certainly qualify. Also Russian which is spoken over eight (8) time zones from St. Petersburg to Vladivostok. Many people in former Soviet republics like Armenia, Latvia, Moldova and Uzbekistan still speak Russian along with their native languages.

Historically, the Chinese have never expanded militarily too far beyond their own borders. So, Chinese (or Mandarin) is still basically just a language of China despite the fact that it has about one billion (1,000,000,000) speakers. .

Just for you to know and i know you know this one already that Chinese are everywhere. They have Chinatowns and expansive means demographic coverage which turns out Chinese is the most "widely" used.
