If you seek to join the Army, National Guard, or reserves then yes.
The maximum enlistment age is 42 at this point.
You still have to pass the ASVAB and background check, but go for it my man

if you are looking to join the British military you have no chance. They have just rolled out a self service system called JPA and are not recruiting writers(Admin) for a long time to come and if they do it will be a hand full at a time. your best bet is the reserves the something like the rnr as a Warfare specialist but i would have thought that you would be to old for that the closest that you will get at that age is the sea cadets as an instructor sorry but its true :-( good luck

Yes. The age limit is 42 in the Army. There are actually no restrictions on what kinds of jobs you can do. I was at training with a 40yo that went on to become a Bradley driver. National Guard is even more open to the idea. If you want admin though, just sign up for it.

right now the magic age is 42, usually the hard part is you will have to go to regular basic training and will be expected to keep up with the 18 and 19 year olds. As for what job you can get will all depend on your ASVAB score, but as long as you can type 21 wpm then you should be fine.

You are too old to join the Military if that is what you are asking! But, you can find out about civilian jobs on Military Bases that pay good, and are government jobs. My sister's husband is in the military, but she works as a cashier at the Commissary on the base. So, no Military, yes Civilian. About being a civilian, they don't check weight, etc. just your abilities to do the job. Good Luck! If it's the Guard or Reserve you are trying to get into, you still will have to go through Basic Training and take the ASVAB Test, to see what your score is. I still think your better bet is look into civilian jobs on bases, good pay and benefits, don't have to go through Basic Training. I am a Veteran, though, and I did enjoy being in the Air Force.
