Sit down, carefully write out a letter explaining the tension, stress and emotional turmoil they are causing you by placing you in the middle of their tug-of-war.. Tell them that you will decide for yourself what you believe after having time to research and learn for yourself .. Respectfully ask them to stop using you as a pawn in their on going battle..
When you have completed the letter make copies and give them to each of the people involved...
Both of your parents and your other family members care about you tell them and they will respond... Neither side wants to hurt you they may simply be so involved in their on-going battle they don't realize the hurt they are causing you in the process..

You will need to eventually decide this based on your own beliefs.
My mother was Catholic, my father Protestant. I was raised Catholic, but had always been a non-believer. I am now Pagan.
I have a daughter 19 and when she was younger and started to ask about religion, I provided here with books that explained different religious and also atheist beliefs. I took her to a variety of churches, temples, etc. so that she was allowed to see first hand the differences for herself.
I tried to give her guidance but not sway her to think that my religious belief had to be the same as her own belief.
I like to think that I have raised a well rounded, free thinking, non-judgmental wonderful young lady.

Catholics are Christian. I suggest you educate yourself about both before asking others for advice.
I'm Catholic so I'm biased but I understand the situation because when I was a kid my step brothers grew up in a similar situation. They aren't Catholic now but I am and intend on being Catholic for the rest of my life.
Many Christians don't consider Catholics Christians and say that we go against the Bible but from experience, everything is biblical.
I'd be happy to answer any of your questions about Catholicism. My e-mail is gods_ten_commandments. (It's not my personal account it's soley for religious purposes)
So you don't get messed up as of today. Catholics don't worship the Saints, Mary, the Pope, or idols. Each of these can be explained but it would take me an hour so I'd appreciate it if you'd contact me.

You have answered the most important question in the multinational youth of today. Why dont we think before we do something and bring babies to this world that are going to be totally confused about what values they should adopt?
This is the future of the world where someone somewhere started invading other people's home and race and started this so called "FREE" movement and we have a problem that our future generations have to face.
Wonderful eh?

Catholics are Christians. I 'm sure you mean your mom is Protestant.
You should do research on both. Here is an apologetics site which takes the differences and explains the Catholic side. http://www.davidmacd.com/catholic/index2.htm
This is easy to understand and takes the most common misunderstandings about Catholicism and addresses them.

You should become a Muslim to unite them. Muslims are the only people who require their adherents to love Christ as well as love the God of Abraham and Moses. You can make the case, that if Christ and God are one, then you love them both as a Muslim. What if God is Jealous and Jesus is not god?
Do some research on Islam and you will find it to be an interesting third way in your situation. Even if you do not convert to Islam, it will certainly heal your mom and dad, as they unite to guide you out of Islam, unless they dislike each other's sect so much that they would rather you be Muslim than the Christian of the other sect. Then again you would be uniting them.
I would have said turn to Judaism, but Jewish folks do not accept converts as easily as Muslims and you will certainly find people who are black and peurto rican and cubans who are Muslims so you will find some folks you could relate with in Islam.
What say you?

Only you can decide what is best for you. Don't let anyone else choose for you.
All Catholics are Christian but not all Christians are Catholic.

Dude... You're in a sticky situation. But the truth is no one can make you be anything that you don't want to be.
So, ask yourself. What do you believe? DO you believe in anything?
For one, catholics pray to mary... and if you read the Bible at all... it specifically says to pray only to God. So, there's one thing that catholics are a little messed up on.
If you want to know anything about christianity... I am more than willing to talk with you about it. I believe in Jesus Christ with all my heart, and I would love to show you Him.

This is a very personal decision, and no one can reall ytell you what or which church you should join. I would suggest investigating several, so that you can make a good decision about it.
Ask lost of questions and find the church that answers those questions to your satisfaction. My only suggestion to you.....let the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints be one of those that you investigate......(I am a lifelong member)
