Yes, that is true.

If you're not ready for completely grey hair, maybe a few dark lowlights could help blend in the greys without ugly regrowth lines.

Yes. Once your hair changes to grey, it will not change back naturally. It is a sign of aging though many people become prematurely grey at a young age. (Some random people are even born with a grey patch of hair or turn grey on the exact spot there was trauma to the head.)

BUT, if you find out how to turn grey hair back to a natural color without dye, you'd be rich!

Yes, it's true. Hair becomes grey from a lack of pigment. Once it's gone, it's history. Of course, you can always try the color in a bottle routine. Just know that grey hair is sometimes difficult to color. It was a waste of money for me. Bring on the grey!

Yes, the proteins that help put the hair together (keratin, which is also a protein is what your hair is made of), is degraded over time and will no longer add pigment to your hair once it has turned grey.

People believe scalp massage is a good way to keep the proteins from degrading because it improves circulation. However, most of it is genetic.

Yes, that's true. Hair color is determined by a pigment called melanin, and once a hair follicle stops producing it, it usually doesn't start again. Some follicles will stop producing it for a while, and then start again, leading to a hair that is striped in appearance, but usually once the melanin goes it doesn't come back.

Not typically. I have long black hair. Sometimes though, I’ll see a hair that is some black, then some grey, then some black.

Hair that turns grey has actually turned clear. It has lost its color. The only way to get your hair to have color again, is to dye it.
