The results of some medical researches done on circumcision ended up on some argument on its benefit over risks. For the meantime, the health benefits remain to be more focused on recommending circumcision termed as "therapeutic circumcision"..

The World Health Organization and UN AIDS recently recommend it as an intervention against HIV protection. The American Urological Association also recommends it for health benefits.

Though there are many unresolved issues due to biased facts on researches about such subject, most medical organizations do not stand against "therapeutic circumcision" but their general view on circumcision remain neutral.

Generally, what is not supported by many medical organizations is not the circumcision itself but the NEONATAL CIRCUMCISION. While there is argument over the +ves and the -ves, the decision of the parents over that matter is highly respected after being informed of the pros and cons.

Depends on the Doctor and it depends on the parents when the male child is born. Back in the day there were many Jewish Doctors who naturally recommended circumcision.
If there is a medical problem later on in life that warrants circumcision then it is advisable.
It's a personal preference.
