nothing really.

i think religions are on their way out in 1st world countries...Europe (in general) is becoming more secular. America is oddly becomeing more religious, especially since Bush took office...which im really not surprised at.

needless to say i dont plan to raise my children in this country. England perhaps if you brits allow me the pleasure of doing it.

i think in the 1st world countries theyre going to become very much secular while the 3rd world countries will keep their religion.

future 2ndworld countries will be much like america and eurpose is now with secularism and rationality on the rise and theism on the slow decline.

im very interested to see what happens in the future. if i can take my consciousness and implant it into another body that would be wonderful...id love to see the distant future..and as a pshycology buff id love to see how society has evolved and functions without theism as a crutch.

Only historically can we look back and say something is in the twilight of its existence. When Islam took over Spain and Turkey, they probably thought Christianity was in the twilight of its existence then too.
The fact that Christianity is not useful to you, does not make it not useful. You need to have a larger view of the world than past your nose. The same "Basic Utility" Christianity had nearly 2000 years ago, still applies today. If it is useless now, it's because it was useless then. However, it is far from useless. It is still turning people from drug addiction, alcoholism, crime, violence...

It will never pass away so think elsewhere many will be lost & few will be saved.. So study & keep abreast of everyday life thats b/4 ur eyes & compare that with the word of God. Then & only then you will find an answer thats true. You cant depend on people who will not tell you the truth of the scriptures so study for yourself with a concordance & bible dictionary & you will see the truth..--- and you will be able to see the fakes..

i think of your premise is wrong. sure, all people who're rather sorry be able to be forgiven for his or her sins. yet, i do no longer think of the objective of offering forgiveness is to grant sinners an "out" from punishment. . usually, human beings whose habit is amoral would have no experience of right and incorrect and no prefer to be forgiven or to alter their habit trend; nor would they difficulty approximately it. this would sound contradictory: Christianity isn't approximately deterring sin...it rather is with regard to the talk - residing a in simple terms, ethical life which might (in a suitable international which we've not yet comprehensive) get rid of the life of sin. Deep query without genuine concrete answer.

christianity is actualy growing by leaps and bounds all around the world. In third world countries people are embracing it because it offers hope in a world filled with wickedness., it is only in so called " enlightened countries " like the USA and Canada that christianity is losing its influence over the people as a result of godless people gaining influence in government. and thats not a good thing as most of our better laws are based on christian principles.

I don't see any evidence to support your assumption that "Christianity is in the twilight of its existence." If you re-phrased it to ask, if we are to move forward as a species, should we consign religions to the trash heap of history, then I would agree.

the Apostle Paul remarked that Christianity was like seeing through a dim metal mirror, but it would someday be as face to face.

As kindergarteners outgrow crayolas and toys, they learn to use laptops and engineering calculators.

Probably so. Some people just really prefer their myths - for them, it's easier to make sense of the world if they think there's really a plan behind it all.

I really don't see Christianity going anywhere any time soon, though.

wine and cheese parties.

in fact the number for christians is 1.4 billion and they still probably count people like me, a forcibly confirmed, (by my parents), catholic. so the number is a lot smaller than that and would it be fair to count the mass of indifferent and apathetic as christians.
