Carpal tunnel is not treatable with vitamins and such. You may reduce pain with OTC meds, but it does not cure it. You can try many things I tried Chiropractic, chinese herbal wraps, tensors, braces, etc. etc. None of these will cure carpal tunnel.
It is caused by initial inflamation which leads to a buildup of calcium and scarring in the tunnel that your nerves run through. This causes constant agravation of the nerves in your hands and arms. it is not displaced bones.
I just had the surgery done on both wrists. They do not put you to sleep, they just put in freezing. It is very quik, about 25 minutes to do both sides. I had this surgery 4 weeks ago and I am thrilled with the results.
No more pain, tingling and numbness. I wish I had done it sooner!

Aspirin or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin, generics). Ibuprofen is probably better, because you can safely double the dose on the label. The standard dose is 400 mg every four hours, and you can take 800 mg. This is the dose that doctors tell you to take for inflammation.
You can also buy a splint over the counter.
Since carpal tunnel can cause nerve damage, you need to see a doctor eventually.

One thing each should know.. this malady is a physical one. It can be reduced by physical means. The longer it is left untreated, the greater the inflammatory process. To involve a greater amount of tissues..
One or more of the carpal bones have become displaced from their normal seat. Resulting in edema of the capsule around that particular bone. This swelling can increase to a point where it may apply pressure to the nerves supplying the area.
Those bones can be reduced with a simple manipulative procedure. All one needs to do is locate it and apply pressure while moving the wrist in various directions. Should you not be able to accomplish this by yourself, may require a visit to a doctor of Chiropractic. Is something most of them treat routinely.

Not sure about vitamins. I know Nikken has some products that have shown to be helpful.
- Elastomag wrist wrap (shown to help in a double-blind study)
- Magnetic bracelet (very attractive- wouldn't even know it's magnetic)
- Joint supplement (haven't heard case studies discussing this product, but it is a natural supplement and seems like it might help)
Let me know if you'd like more info. kumberg@hotmail.com
Good luck!
