And north american troop were the instramental troops in defeating the remnants of His german army in WW2?

so the north americans must now be considered the greatest fighting force ever? meaning even resources of north america defeated the Romans.

ya think the white populace would be more thankful to the north american indians for taking such good care of the land before they got here. since there are now so few of us, they should make us all Land Barons.

"Kaiser" is a German title, like "king", but based upon the Latin name, "Caesar".

The same thing is true for Russian. The title, "Czar" was used for the ruler when Russia was still a monarchy. (e.g. Czar Nicholas the Second)

Do you mean that the Roman Legions were the greatest fighting force and so the US defeating the German Army in World War I means that our present Army is the heirs to the title of Greatest Fighting Force in the World?

I admire and respect all of the members of our armed forces, my daughter is in Iraq right now, but one military force defeating another military force at one time doesn't prove that they were better than some other force that they never actually fought.

The Romans beat the Huns, and the Huns beat the Chinese, but that doesn't prove that the Romans would have beaten the Chinese. It depends upon the terrain, the period of history, the leaders, the comparative technology, and the strategies used.

Besides, the Gauls left only bones after they defeated the Roman legions in the Teutenberg Forest, and the Goths defeated the Legions at Adrianople and killed the Emperor.

Kaiser is the German word for Caesar. The Germans don't have a soft 'C' sound in their language. And calling Wilhelm a 'Caesar' is appropriate because WWI was all about imperialism, the western nations carving up the rest of the world between themselves.

The US wisely waited until the European powers had worn themselves out, then we came in with fresh troops and won the day. We did the same thing in WWII and became a superpower.

As for the Indians, you make a good point! They lived here for at least 10,000 years, maybe twice that long, and when we arrived the land was much as they found it. We've had it 300 years and we've screwed it up completely!

Rome never defeated the German tribes in battle and would hire Germans to serve as personal guards to Caesar. The German in turn adopted the expression Caesar in the form of Kaiser to refer to their Emperor.

The Imperial German Heer (Army) creased to exist following the Great World War in 1918. While Hitler may have desired to recreate Rome in the form of Greater Germania, there is no connection between the former German Empire and the Nazis movement.

Caesar is the root word for "king," "kaiser," "tzar," and etc.. It means ruler. It dies not mean the ruler is in any way in the line of rulers of Rome...it just means the word came from the root word Caesar.
