I really want to serve the Nation USA because I love the way they do things, fight for the indigenous people and maginalize people like me. That is why I'm asking either do I be eligible or not.
Thanks

You have to have perm resident status (green card) to enlist in the military, after that they don't care & it doesn't effect what jobs you can get. Depending on how long you've been in the US, the background check may take longer, but generally should not be effected by living abroad.

You are eligible, but you may be restricted from performing certain jobs or residing on certain bases. The good thing about an indigenous person joining is that it is a path towards US citizenship.

Resident aliens within the U.S. are eligible for enlistment in the armed forces of the U.S. However, one must be a U.S. citizen to accept a commission as an officer from the President.

nicely, in case you go with to shuttle, bypass military. No different service has ships that installation and hit different ports on deployment. for instance, on a 6 month deployment, my deliver went to Hawaii (two times), Guam (two times), Oman, Dubai, Kuwait, Thailand, The Maldives, Djibouti (Africa), and Austrailia... it really is a few thing you're not to any extent further going to do in the different branch (until eventually you're a marine onboard a military deliver)! I, like you, change into torn between military & AF. finally I chosen military because a million.) progression (promotions) come a lot swifter, 2.) i had to ensure the international, 3.) The military recruiter stated how large the military change into, even as the AF recruiter did not say some thing sturdy about the AF, he in simple terms trash-talked the military. relaxing truth: Who has the international's best air stress? the U. S. military. Who has the second one best? the U. S. Air stress. Take that, trash-talkers. ;) straightforward practise (boot camp) is a comic tale those days. no longer even kidding, after I went by they'd cinnamon toast crunch and reese's PB cereal contained in the galley at breakfast... as long as you could do fifty six sit down-united statesin 2 minutes, 20 pushups in 2 minutes, and run a million.5 miles in quarter-hour, you'd be fantastic. it really is not any longer some thing like you're awaiting, I promise. the hardest area of bootcamp is coping with the drama of having 80 ladies bunked in a unmarried room without privateness. in case you could communicate 7 languages, you would possibly want to be a CT (cryptological technician)... they make rank quickly, and get large bonuses to enlist & re-enlist... as long as you'll get a secure practices clearance (no on the spot kin would nicely be electorate of different international places, you could't have a severe debt situation, and no felonies and so on.) you need to truly do military. wish this facilitates!!
