Gumby, well, I am going to pick a best answer, although it might be hard since the answers so far have been sincere and well-stated. And I didn't call all LDS people liars, so I don't know how to answer that part of your question. It's one of those like, "Have you stopped beating your wife?"

Personally, I go because I actually enjoy learning and enjoy feeling the spirit...I go because I know the Lord wants me to. I also enjoy the friendships I have gained through church attendance. I think God has intended it to be that way - meeting others who share the same views and life goals, people who can strengthen eachother...I think it's a good thing. We have a sports program in the church for that reason also, to fellowship others and invite all to come unto Christ.
So, both.

As the others have stated, the most important part of our worship services is partaking of the Sacrament, which clearly falls under the "worship God" column.

Our classes in the other blocks are set up in a social manner, with instructors trying to solicit class participation. The focus is still on God and Jesus, but I'm not sure if I'd call it worship per se.

Also, there is time between the blocks to socialize.

Both. I have small children. Two of them are in what we call nursery and I usually end up in there for a good chunk of time. Then in the third hour, I'm in with the teenage girls. I teach them so I don't know if that would be considered social or worship.

EDIT: so, are you going to pick a best answer and call all of us LDS folks liars again like you did with your last LDS question?

I attend to worship God, but I know many people in my ward are there in part for the social interaction.
I suppose my primary purpose is to worship God, then to learn more about Him and how I can become like Him, then finally for the social interaction. But I normally only talk between meetings or before RS starts. The rest of the time I'm there to worship and learn.

First and foremost, I attend Church to worship God> An important part of that is to partake of the sacrament each week. I can renew my 'covenants' that I made at my baptism so long ago, by eating the sacrament bread and drinking the water. I can renew my desire to serve God by pondering his goodness, and the goodness of Christ's atonement, as I worship during the sacrament.

I know the other members of my congregation. I consider them friends. I would do anything for a friend. Therefore, I do look forward to seeing them at church (and during the week). That is important to me to see and interact with friends. But it is not the most important part of Church attendance. Partaking of the sacrament and worshiping God is.

To worship God. I've made plenty of friends through the social interaction of it.

Both are true but for me the most important reason is to worship God. I don't have friends at church so I don't do much social interaction.

I go to church to worship God. Social interaction is secondary, although certainly a nice plus.

I'm at Church on Sunday because that's where my Savior has asked me to be. After all He has done for me, it is a small and simple task which I can accomplish every week. The fact that while I am at Church, I can associate with others who are striving to learn to live in a closer association with God and His Son is a plus.

I go to worship my Heavenly Father and fullfill my responsibilities in my ward. I do enjoy seeing the ward members also, but we are busy worshipping so do not get to socialize at the regular church meetings. That's what the grocery store aisle is for:)
