Some say that if there was concrete evidence that God exists there would still be Athiests; what do you think?

Of course they would.

There is proof right now, they deny it.

People always have, and they always will.

I understand it, I used to be in denial, too, until I saw the proof, and understood what it meant.

The perfect example, is the war in Iraq.

Read any debate about the war, replace "God," for Iraq, and you'll see how facts, reality, and examples of each mean nothing to someone who's already made up his mind.

A person believes something, because they believe it . . .and facts very seldom matter. Some people change their minds, but not too often.

It's human nature.

You mean like how there is sold, tangible concrete evidence of
Evolution, yet some people deny it? Something like that?

Some people will always want to evade reality -- that's why people believe in gods in the first place. So the answer to your question is yes; even if a god existed, some people would not believe in it.

i think of if we actually had a tangible evidence of a God, and that God became no longer assisting human beings on a head to head foundation i think of it may probable turn extra human beings far off from faith assuming they have loose will. My reaon for wondering it is that in case you knew there became a God and had evidence after which you ask this God to do something for you and the God doesnt do it in the way you asked you could enhance into disappointed with the responce to procure. you then could say properly i be responsive to God exists and that i'm able to instruct it yet why didnt God help me the way i wanted ect ect... So imo good tangible evidence of God could probable be a cruch on humanity extra then something. enable me ask you a query if good tangible evidence exists that yet another persons god exists that won't your God how could you react?

Yes. The Israelites were freed from Egypt by God's own hand. They saw Him work miracles and provide for their needs. When they built the Tabernacle, God actually descended on the Tabernacle and they could see His glory with their own eyes. They heard His voice. What more proof did they possibly need? And yet, when Moses went up the mountain for 40 days, when he came back down with the law from God he found that the people had built themselves a golden calf and were having a "party" (let's just call it that to be polite, 'kay?) and worshipping it. Over and over again through their history the same thing happened. And when Jesus was alive on earth, He fulfilled all the prophecies of the Messiah and showed Himself to be God. He performed miracles, He raised the dead. And still people didn't believe. Gentile and Jew alike screamed for His death that day and rejoiced when His life ended. And even when He rose from the grave there were still many who didn't believe. So yeah, I would say that there will always be people who don't believe. It is human nature.

(PS - this post wasn't meant to bash the Jews or anything like that! but since their race is the one who saw God, it was the best example to use)

The equal and opposite also applies, if I were to give you solid, tangible proof that god does NOT exist woudl you continue to believe in 'him'.

Of course you would, simply because you would deny that evidence, that same way that religionists continue to deny the evidence that their 13th Century views are no longer valid today.

Human nature being what it is, there will always be someone to disagree with concrete evidence of anything. I do have tangible proof of God, because I can feel him around me every day.

If I had indisputable concrete evidence, I'd believe in a god. I have yet to see anything remotely resembling such, so I remain an atheist.

No, that's what we keep asking for. Personally, I'd settle for solid proof of the miraculous events in the Bible.

Edit:
Evidence of physical events, like a global flood would not remove the need for faith, neither would evidence for God. I know my physical dad exists but I still have faith in him - even though he's in his 80's.

Ignorance is a plague. The point of belief is not to "know" something, but to "believe" that it is so. Have you ever seen a billion dollars, in person? Very doubtful, yet you "believe" it exists. That is how faith works, you believe something so much that you will it into existance within your mind, or you don't.

You give me solid concrete plausible tangible evidence and I'm all yours.
