I believe that we are on the way to a purely secular society already. The popular media has been very anti-Christian in the last generation or so, if you don't believe me think of all the portrayals of Christians in almost every popular movie in the last twenty years (TV is even worse). they are all nuts or just plain evil and judgmental. "Carries" mom, the nut in "Contact", the serial killer in "Seven" etc etc. Here's the flip side though, what if you woke up tomorrow and everyone was christlike. No war, the elimination of hunger and disease would be a top priority, no rape, no murder, no theft, children would be safe in the company of strangers, no porn, no racism, no abortions, no need for abortion (thats alot more profound if you think about it).
Then imagine a world without God. Personally it would look the same as the one we live in. The good of religion and the bad of religion pretty much evens out in this world ( I've never heard of Atheist Children's Fund have you, or helping the homeless people at the Agnostic Army shelter, or giving blood at the Red Triangle. Woman's suffrage and the abolitionist movement wasn't headed by the Rotarians. And don't give that business about war and religion, other than eighty percent of all world conflicts involving Islam, and the crusades a thousand years ago, Christianity is not a warlike religion. The Irish fought on political lines that just happen to also to be religious lines too.

Are you my twin? He's been "on the shelf" for a long time now actually. Look around you. Without some ideal to hold on to, or at least to be embarrassed about, everyone will turn into a monster. If what you propose happen, I think, in 40 years, people wil be hungry for God.

It would probably be the same as it is now- some would laugh, and others would probably embrace the idea.
I think it would be interesting to see, but really, it makes me a little sad. I don't like people forcing their religion onto other people, but I don't think people should be forced to give up the idea of a higher power and afterlife if it makes them happy; the idea itself isn't what's hurting people and causing wars, after all.
In general, I'd say it's a bad idea. I'm in no way a Christian, I hate the Christian idea of God and such, but I don't think anyone should have to give that up if it bring them genuine comfort and happiness, especially if no one's being hurt by it.

God in times new roman font cuts up into the following words:
CuT nucil i l
also
C To di i
the I of the first is like organized crime strike I.
the To of the second is rference to strike 2 (pronounced to)
isn't that what organized crime uses to control it's members?
ie CuT off at the nucil, it hurts more then the middle of the finger, just kidding how ion the hells angel would i know.
so if all God talk died, perhaps organized crime would die too? So yes A'bad'don of the Abyss uses God to brutaly suppress freedom.
If God ceased and LORD and GODDESS took over (in times new roman font) then TODD could rule as their Son. ha ha ha Just kidding, not interested.

A certain number of them would recognize the truth. No matter how much we attempt to deny it there is an inherent need within every human being to connect with God. Many try to fill that area with drug, alcohol, promiscuous sex, even denial that it's there.
After 40 years the gnawing hunger for God would desire to be filled.

Pagans would take over the world!! just christian god, or all monotheist god, or all gods and goddesses? with out just god, many kids would find us crazy, and find god as a fairy tale. if it was all gods, it would be a fairy tale. i think there would be "sacred" churches for nuns and stuff like we have temples for monks. spells might be less "miracle" and more "if the universe intends". if you explained god at a very young age, christianity might come back. until then, the pagans will rule for their small reign of 40yrs. oh well.

There would be one less reason for people to hate each other. Then they could concentrate on nationalism, social status, wealth, and race as reasons. Don't even think that wars would be gone.
