Re: Wookie
Do you have a problem? If you're questioning then obviously you've either done something really dumb while impaired or you're worried that you may actually have a real problem. For me, drinking a very very small is okay once in a blue moon. It really does not brother me if others do, just not around my son. It sounds like she cares about you and your health. If you drink alot; then, maybe you guys needs to make separate time for drinking and time with her. Every couple needs space, so give her options that might work best for you and her. In no way am I saying to be an alcoholic, but rather showing you that she may think or view it as another issue that is as or more important than the relationship itself.
Wookie, never under any circumstances just hide it, unless you really want to be an alcoholic. It's good that you have at least addressed the issue, now do them same with her.
Good Luck.

Soon enough she will not be your girlfriend so you won't have to worry about getting her to shut up. If she is concerned with the amount of alcohol your intaking then perhaps it is time to take a look at it yourself. This is your life and so are the priorities. If she means more to you then the bottle then you would slow down or quit for her. But if the bottle takes number one priority then you might just as well do her a favour and kick her to the curb now rather then having her have to go through all the bs that accompanies drinking too much.

This questionnaire has been used by doctors and other healthcare providers to screen for alcoholism. It is known as the CAGE.
1. Do you ever think you should (C)ut down on your drinking?
2. Do you get (A)nnoyed when people talk to you about your drinking?
3. Do you ever feel (G)uilty about drinking?
4. Do you ever have an (E)ye-opener--a drink to get you going in the morning?
2 or more positive responses may suggest alcoholism.
There are other approaches to the diagnosis, but this is one you can work with at home.
Good luck.

If she drinks too and she is saying that you are an alcoholic, then you might want to evaluate yourself. Maybe you do drink too much. However, I suggest either stop drinking in front of her or don't drink as much in front of her. If that doesn't stop her then you can either do what she wants and stop completely or break up with her because she sounds like she cares about you and if she really does care, she won't stop bothering you about such a serious problem.

Stop drinking so much if you love her and want her to have the best things in life then she deserves a man with out any drug accdictions. She only says things to you so much because she loves you and cares about you a lot Id be he same way as her if I had a man with a drinking problem its a waste of money,it causes bad mood swings, and it will ruin your relationship if you continue.

Hiding would be beginning of the end of you guys relationship. Just cut it back a bit and tell her that you enjoy drinking as much as she enjoys shopping.
