Normally,a body can replace the fluids in the blood lost during donation within 24 hours. The red blood cells are replaced after some weeks. If you are pretty healthy and an eligible blood donor, you can donate every eight weeks - that period would be sufficient enough for your body to replenish what you lost and keep normal blood levels. So three months interval of donation is pretty safe.

Be sure to have a healthy balanced diet and have some extra protein and iron rich foods in few weeks after donating to facilitate replacement of the lost blood.

hi! as Rookie said, ur blood is always "growing", but the blood bank asks u to wait at least 56 days before u donate again so that ur body can adjust itself again, not cause detrimental effects. so 3 months is a long enough period. congratulations for being a blood donor, keep it up!!! all the best.

They are right, this is for your benefit. People would love it if people could donate once a week, but we know that if you did that, you could become anemic. This would make you tired and if you are too terribly anemic, you cannot donate anyway. This would not help the person receiving your blood. So, it is best just to follow the guidelines, they are for your safety as well as those receiving your donation! Thanks for being a donor! You are saving lives.
