I've worked in several stores since I was 16 but now I want something that pays a little more. 8 dollars is minimum wage here in canada. I'm looking for something over 10 dollars. Maybe 15? I'm currently changing programs in college so I don't think I can actually find work using my education. I'm transfering to a nutrition program at another university.

Anyways, I need work!
What kind of positions should I search for that would suit my age and salary expectations? Office work? A store manager? What else? Maybe something in the health care industry?

Some ideas to earn extra money:
1. Tutoring students
2. Using skills you have
3. MLM businesses
Personally, an internet business is an easy way to create a passive income because:
1. Require small to zero capital
2. Get started right away and easily
3. Work from home or anywhere in the world as long as there is an internet connection
4. Has unlimited potential to earn money
5. No age or education requirements
6. Doesn't have to have a company

What you need to do is to learn about the internet business as much as possible to discover whether it is for you and what your strategy is. There is free information around.
Good luck.

Unless you live in Toronto and are willing to work in a call centre for some financial companies, I doubt that you could get $15/hr. To be honest, you don't have much experience and certification (which is normal for a 20-year-old). I think $10/hr is a more realistic expectation for you.

Well I would recommend applying to be a bank teller it pays between 10-15 and it also has career options because banks tend to higher within. I would personally recommend TD Canada Trust as I have found them to be truly focused on customer service.

Higher paying jobs generally go to experienced workers, so since you have retail experience, I'd say look at retail management since you have several yrs exprience in that field. Perhaps you could look into something with commissionable sales- could be lucrative for you.
