WHile there should be none, there are two basic ways to look at it.
A christian follows the teachings of the christian church, and the traditions that have flowed from any particular denomination they are affiliated with.
A christ follower follows the teachings of Jesus, usually finding the trappings of religion useless.
Now it gets odd... neither is "automatically" Christian... one who accepts Jesus as God.

Basically the same thing. If I had to make a difference I'd say a Christian is a self proclamation that you have decided to follow Christ. Christ follower might not actually live for Christ just be a tag along. If you ask me it is splitting hairs. It is what is in the heart that counts.

A Christian is one who strives to be like Christ while a Christ follower is one who lives both sides of the fence.
Sometimes even Christians are guilty of being Christ followers, I know I am.

There shouldn't be a difference. However, I know that in this country a lot of people say they are "christian" just because they believe in God or go to church on Christmas or Easter. That isn't the true definition of a christian. A true definition of a christian is one who follows Christ and his teachings.

There shouldn't be any difference, because a Christian should be a Christ follower and a Christ follower would be a Christian. But sometimes I identify myself as a Christ follower because of the negative view the general public has of Christians, thanks to a few Christians in the limelight who compromised themselves.

It is a semantic used by Christ followers to absolve themselves of bad Christian behavior.
In reality there is no difference, because both rely on the same text for guidance.

a christian is someone who keeps their "relationship" with god to themselves. Does not judge as only god can judge, treats all people with respect and love, even those they dont agree with. Does not try to convince or convert others.
a christ follower preaches to everyone, tries to save people, judges peoples sins, condemns people, votes for laws based upon religious beliefs, lets everyone know how much of a christian they are, blindly follows their preacher without considering if what was told to them has real value. the kind of person most the rest of us hate.

I don't believe that their is a difference. We are Christians by our love, that's why we fellow Jesus Christ, and should apply his words to our lives daily

Well, one can call themselves anything.
The follower of Christ will show the difference by actions rather than labels.
