Okay I am going to Laughlin from LA County. Well due to the fires, I think the 15 frwy might be closed due to the massive fires that we are having. If it is, does anyone know any alternate routes? Thanks to all that answer!

If I-15 is part of your usual route to Laughlin, it is open in both directions with no delays. To double check just prior to leaving call the toll free Caltrans road condition hotline at 1-800-427-7623.

Go out the 10 to the Arizona border. Get your map book out. Right around Quartzsite, Arizona is a hightway directly into Laughlin area.

Honestly I think you should either fly or not go at all this time. It is too risky to be going through all that back country now all alone in a car. If you can't get a flight to Laughlin why don't you fly to Vegas and then drive from there?

Hm, I don't know if you're going to have much luck getting out there. The 15 to the 40 might be the only way, otherwise you'd be driving for hours and hours on backroads (which would likely be even more dangerous).
