They came in bags, not boxes. Each bag had a different cartoon monster on the front. The cookies themselves were made to look like a bite had been taken out of them. The joke was that the monster at the cookie factory was eating all the cookies.
I know it didn't have anything to do with Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.
They were around in the early 80s. Does anyone remember what they were called?

i remember those!! i don't know what they were called, but i remember. they made "monster cupcakes" that looked like they had a bite taken out of them too.
