Guys, Have you ever even read the bible? I don't care even if you're an atheist. It is the seminal book in western culture. If you hate God or don't believe he exists thats not relevant. And don't blame a book full of virtues for hatred. There are hateful atheists too. Just read some of the posts that I'm sure will follow. As for Harry Potter, its a just fantasy about good versus evil. I'm sorry the author felt it necessary to be overtly PC but that's her right. It seems to be the cause d' jour. My gay little brother (I'm in big brothers) will be happy with the choice.

So far the Bible is leading the race, but Potter will have a chance as long as the dominant country in the world adopts it as the only true religious philosophy.

The bible, as people really believe it is real. Harry Potter, people know is just a story. Or at least I would hope they know that.

Harry Potter has a few centuries to catch up. Of course, it sends the message that not only is sorcery OK, but so is being a gay wizard! So I suppose the next generation of kids is doomed to grow up to be Republican senators - and isn't that bad enough?
