Definitely (d). It sums up what good health is all about, and what we all strive to achieve.

To recover from one illness does not mean that you can recover from another. To be able to work out for 30 minutes does not mean that you can not get sick or have an illness. To not have a disease does not mean that you are healthy, you may be under weight of over weight and not have a disease. I think to be healthy is to have complete physical, mental and emotional well being. It may be hard to achieve all three, but positive thinking is a powerful thing.

(a) ability to recover.
(b) is an indication of general fitness... you could still do a good workout if you had HIV
(c) would result in a very vulnerable state of health because your immune system would be practically nonfunctional... you'd end up having to live in one of those bubble things.
(d) is a good way to be for quality of life but isn't essentially an indication of good health... many people feel just like that even though they may have a cancerous growth that will kill them within 3 months.

I think in the work out you are confusing "fitness" with health in (b) Being ill and recovering quickly is not a definitive test. (c)
Absence of disease is all too often a case of luck. A combination of the three make (d) the best candidate

Item No.D
In 1948, in its constitution, the World Health Organization (WHO) defined health as "a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity"

Complete physical, mental and emotional well being would lead to the first three. If you are fit, eating a proper food and feeling well you can enjoy a workout, support your immune system and prevent disease.

I think exercise and diet can give you well being and prevent diseases. They can also cure diseases.
