I currently am a junior math major in a smaller sized city. I work at chilis as an expo/qa making 10/hr. I work only work roughly 26 hrs a week (ten shifts/week). I cant stand working here, but I need the money. Id rather work at Starbucks as a barista (7 an hr)... Should I quit my job and find something else, or just wait till I graduate? ( Thats in 2009).

No body should stick with a job that they hate for two more years. These aren't career positions we are talking about but just part time work while in school. Find a place you like to work and apply. Sometimes the work and atmosphere are worth taking a lower salary.

Find something else then quit. Put together a resume (include that you are a student and what you major is) and hit the street. There is a lot of work you can do for 10/hour that would be more interesting.

You can also try the work from home via the Internet thing, but be careful, there are a lot of scams out there in this regard.

I would find something to replace the Chilis job before quiting if you can though.

If live at home and can survive on 7 an hour..why not? Or try another restaurant.
