CPS gets involve when a mother beats her kids & neglects them just to go get drunk and party. The kids get taken away and place in foster homes. The mother keeps having kids by different guys and don't even know who the daddy is to them all. Well, she puts the 1st baby daddy on child-support when she finds out that the guy is the daddy afterall after guessing if he was or not. Well, when she gets introuble she doesn't say who the daddy is but is quickly about putting the guy on child-support. Well, the gurl has to do all this & that in order to get her kids back. The Dr. even said the kids were in danger if placed back. CPS don't care about the kids since 90% of them aren't parents and just rather care about the money & say they better off w/ the mother. After 2yrs they give up cuz the kid is better off at the kid's father's place. The other kids end up going back. The gurl has another baby. What is she teaching her daughters??? To get laid, have kids, don't work, live off of welfare.

She's not a good mother. She's not teaching them any good. Why do so many whores like her gotta do this? She's just a lazy skank. The REAL PEOPLE WHO ARE IN NEED AND ARE SEARCHING FOR WORK CAN'T GIVE GET THE HELP. THEY DON'T WANT TO LIVE LIKE HER. THEY WANT THE BEST FOR THEIR KIDS. The gov should just put a stop to all this welfare crap and force them lazy people to find jobs to support the kids & if they wanna keep having them. PEOPLE LIKE MYSELF ARE GETTING OUR MONEY TAKEN AWAY TO PAY FOR THEM ALL. I DON'T WANT MY MONEY THAT I EARN BY WORKING TO GO TO SOME BUMS THAT RATHER JUST LIVE LIKE THAT GETTING OUR MONEY SO THEY CAN JUST STAY HOME, HAVE BABIES AND BE BUMS. I AM TIRED OF ALL THAT BULL **ISH!!! & who the HELL complained about my 1st post about the young gurls getting pregnant and not supporting their kids & not knowing who their daddy was???? this is just how i feel and my opinions.....

This sounds like a case for forced sterilization if I ever heard one. CPS sometimes is so overwhelmed by these cases (Hundreds a week in just one office) that they set them on the back burner until a kid gets killed. Unless she is using birth control (Which she should be since Welfare now requires it (My step-daughter's friend has to be on the patch to receive her welfare and have them pay for her daycare so she can go to school...another requirement), and goes to drug/alcohol treatment, takes parenting classes, and anger management, and goes to therapy, she should NEVER get those kids back, and she needs to go out and get a job.

I think if I read this in the newspaper, my reaction would be similar to yours. It makes me feel sick whenever I hear a baby cry. I think your criticism of the child care workers is unfair. If there are people there for the 'money', they would be a very small minority. Most people aren't there for the money. They are deeply concerned for the welfare of all children. Can you imagine what it would be like seeing all these children suffering at the hands of their caregivers every day and your ability to change their life is extremely limited. They must work around the laws and if they can remove a child than where do you place them? An institution is an alternative but that has limited benefits due to lack of funding and staff inadequacies. Even having the satisfaction of removing these children from these negligent parents is frustrating because these children need emotional support from a trained professional. You can remove the damaged child but the healing would be absent without consistent, loving care. Our cps officers need to given more respect and our graditude for their efforts. We all could be superman for a day but these people do it day in and day out. What an emotional toll it must take. How about teaching our children about parenting in school and human psychology. We should have a program aimed at our children that simulates parenting for a week. Perhaps, it wouldn't cause everyone to stop and think but a lot of little souls just might be saved before they are actually born.

I know the procedure because I was in the system as a child. First off, when there is a biological parent or family member willing to take the children, CPS will want to keep the kids with them instead of splitting the children up and putting them in a home with a stranger. They feel that if the abusive parent take a 'class' or program such as anger management that things will change. The parent is going to do whatever it takes, not necessarily to get their children back, but to avoid having to go to jail for child abuse, neglect, or endangerment. Children are gifts and she's not worthy. Not only should she not get her kids back, she should be punished for abusing them. Those kids will be mentally and emotionally scarred for life and they deserve justice.
Something needs to be done about child abuse. Children are even sometimes abused by the very foster parents who the government has turned to and trusted to provide safe, loving homes for.

It's amazing that you have to have a license to drink, drive and even have some careers. Yet to be a parent..it's a free for all.
I think the CPS should have much stronger regulations. I know they're understaffed and such but I've heard of way too many horror stories. Many of which happened because follow-ups weren't made, reports were falsified. These are children, you'd think there'd be a better system put in place.
Sending the children back into abusive homes is completely the wrong thing to do. Common sense tells us that. So why do they continue to do it?
It won't change until people stand up and make it change.

Unless the mother completly turns her life around, the children should be taken away from her at birth and I think if you have several children especially around the time that your welfare is going to get cut off, in VA its two years unless you become pregnant 6 months before the 2 year cut off, if you do it more than twice then to bad, get a job.
I know what you are saying my husband works his butt off, I was working but got hurt (not at work), and am not able to work right now. I'm pregnant with number 2. Before we got married I was on food stamps, got hurt, we decided to get married, went b/c I do what I"m suppose to instead of sneaking around the systme, my husband makes 20$ a month (thats not alot) more than what I was. And they took the food stamps. The 20 dollars is suppose to make up for the 200 I was getting for me and my daughter, with an addiotnal person plus me being pregnant. So I'm trying to find a job that can accomadate my constant back pain.
It pisses me off to especially since a neighbor in the complex I live in had her three kids taken away by social services and is still recieving from social service, a decreased rent, over 500$ a month in foodstamps (which she sells), power bill paid and is trying to get a car through a program they have.

I agree completely hell most people who are on governmet assistance dont need it they are perfectly able of getting a job and dont do it.
Hell im disabled and on it but im out there trying to get a job so i can get off it and let it go to more needy people.
Im also tired fo drug dealers making thousands a month and still collecting wellfare. aand about that mother she should not get her kids back. If you are a bad enough parent to get them taken away for abuse and neeglect then you dont need them back. As far as teens being parents my wife and i are teens and we take great care of our daughter it doesnt take a rocket scientist to take care of a child.
