They do it to fill some void in their lives that makes them feel inadequate so they have to either:
a) make everyone notice them for attention (negative usually)
b) because they feel so badly about their lives that they want to make someone else ticked off too
c) they see happy people and that bothers them because they are not happy
d) their parents didn't pay much attention to them so they are acting out
e) they have no goals or any guidance in their lives so that is the best thing their limited minds can come up with
I know one thing, they bore me......it's like: wow, now go figure out something else to do until your day is done

This happens to people who buy a pick-up, but don't really need a truck, then realize that they spent extra money on a vehicle that was impractical for office work. Their immediate gratification wears off and they become frustrated with a vehicle that burns more gas than they can afford to buy and of course, they are stuck with a "redneck" excuse for transportation.
Another reason is that when pick-up truck drivers are noticed, women of class and respect tend to look the other way. These men have no recourse, because they appear to live in a lower class group and so these desirable women avoid contact with them.
So, now they are financially and sexually frustrated and "peel out" in parking lots in order to look cool....but that only looks cool if you are in high school. Darnit!

I happen to own and drive one, and have never peeled-out OR sped through a crowd....anyone who does is immature, oblivious of others, and an all-around idiot...
Be sure, when posting a question, not to "lump all" people (like pick-up truck owners) into a broad statement such as this.
I have noticed that the younger the driver...tend to think they are great drivers..ready for Indy and can out-run the law (or that the rules and laws don't apply to them)...
Most have NO idea how FOOLISH it is to think this way.

Must be your location. Pick-up truck drivers here don't behave that way. I have driven pick-ups since I learned to drive (35 years ago) and have never intentionally peeled out. I do however, see young immature boys peeling out in those little cars that sound like big bumble bees.........

counting on your automobile it in all fairness common to push a automobile out of its parking spot. If he can not push it the tow truck has a winch and cable so he can park sideways, pull your automobile out of that is spot right into a site visitors lane the place he can raise one end to coach it around.
