Never get mad at your puppy for dribbling, you should try to teach your puppy to relax or calm down on command. You may have this problem long term, as I used to have a chihuahua who used to pee when excited or scared. Dogs like this usually also have an uncontrolable bladder thing going on. I would also probably bring him in to make sure its nothing serious.

Also:for the person infront, pit bulls are one of the most sweetest breeds. I used to have a few puppies and i loved them to death. Just because they have a bad name doesnt mean they are all bad

Too good to pass up. This is obviously a problem for the dog's peers. When consulted, if they haven't helped, cut the peers off. Sorry.

Seriously, the little fellow may have a problem which reduces his control. Please have him checked by a vet to make sure that it is only nervious excitement and not a physical problem. Cesar Milan probably has a better answer but his general philosify is good. The dog must be trained to be in a "calm submissive" state. This simply means that he must be under your control at all times and only allowed to approach people with your permission when you see that he is calm. Give him plenty of excercise with lots of walking on a leash. Use a light choke collar. This is not used to choke the dog but by placing it high on his neck behind the ears he will be forced to walk head up and under your control. As you work with him teach him to leave your heel only on your command. Teach him to sit and to stay. Do not use anger and shouting. As he becomes disciplined he will become more calm and less likely to lose control of his bladder. None ot this is to say that you can't play with him, love him and enjoy him. It should be at your time and place and with your permission. Don't mistreat him and don't choke him with his walking chain collar. My toy poodle loves her "choker" because she knows that it is prelude to an exciting walk. She readily sticks her head in the collar to go out and is a little put out when I take it off.

Just type submissive peeing' into a search.

And don't punish him for doing it, he's already peeing becuase he's trying really hard to please you.

You need to teach him things he can do and get praised for so that he's more confident.
Submissive peeing is dog language for "you're the boss. I"m sorry. I'll do whatever you want."

I'm assuming that this is still a puppy. If its a full grown dog this is not the kind of behavior that guests like to be greeted with. Talk to your vet about how to handle this.

Congratulations on getting a cute dog. Many clueless people often get pitbulls and that's much worse.

Make sure he's not around people who resemble trees or lampposts.
