What converter do I need to plug in coaxial cable to my TV which doesn't have coax but only Red, White, Yellow. I have a cable box in one room, but only coax in my bedroom. I don't want to get another cable box and pay rent.

Are there any converters available. If so please let me know.

You need something to tune into a particular cable channel; this is what a cable box does.

Whether you can use something else besides a cable box depends on what kind of cable service you have.

If you get analog cable, most VCR's made in the last 20 years have a cable ready tuner built into them. Just attach the cable coax into the VCR's antenna in, then run the VCR's composite out to your TV.

If you only get digital cable, it's possible that you could use one of the newer DVD recorders with a digital QAM tuner.

There are some cable systems that are only compatible with their own cable boxes. Also you can expect any premium channels to be scrambled/encrypted. These can only be received by a cable company's box.

Does your cable company have a web site? Maybe they have customer information like how to hook up their cable.

Coax connection is he same as antenna or "RF In" the Red,White and yellow are.
1) Red : Right Audio
2) White : Left Audio
3) Yellow : Video
These are composite cables.
