Bible says twice that Jesus was accused of being God, but he denied it

According to the Bible, on only two instances the Jews opposed Jesus on the basis that he pretended to be God or equal with God. Had Jesus, may God praise him, claimed to be God, he is likely to have been opposed on this basis more frequently. Because in these two instances, when charged, in the one case, with making himself God, and in the other, with making himself equal with God, he denied the charges. In reply to the charge of being an equal with God, he says immediately:

John 5:19, 30 “The son can do nothing of himself, but what he sees the Father do”; and directly after:

“I can of mine own self do nothing.”

In answer to the charge of making himself God, he appeals to the Jews in substance thus: Your own Scriptures call Moses a god, and your magistrates gods; I am surely not inferior to them, yet I did not call myself God, but only the “son” of God (John 10:34-36).

The Bible says:

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man…”

Hosea 11:9 “...For I am God, and not man...”

Jesus is called a man many times in the Bible:

John 8:40 “…a man who has told you the truth…”

Acts 2:22 “Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know.”

God is not a man, but Jesus, may God praise him, was a man, therefore, Jesus was not God.

The Bible Says that God Is Not a Son of Man

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man...nor a son of man…”

The Bible often calls Jesus “a son of man” or “the son of man.”

Matthew 12:40 “…so will the son of man be…”

Matthew 16:27 “For the son of man is going to come…”

Since God would not contradict Himself by first saying He is not the son of a man, then becoming a human being who was called “the son of man”, he would not have done so. Remember God is not the author of confusion. Also, human beings, including Jesus, are called “son of man” specifically to distinguish them from God, who is not a “son of man” according to the Bible.

3. The Bible Says that Jesus Denied He is God

Luke 18:19 Jesus spoke to a man who had called him “good,” asking him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.”

Jesus did not teach people that he was God. If Jesus had been telling people that he was God, he would have complimented the man. Instead, Jesus rebuked him, denying he was good, that is, Jesus denied he was God.

4. The Bible Says that God is Greater than Jesus

John 14:28 “My Father is greater than I.”

John 10:29 “My father is greater than all.”

Jesus Never Instructed His Disciples to Worship Himself or the Holy Ghost, but God and God Only

Luke 11:2 “When you pray, say Our Father which art in heaven.”

John 16:23 “In that day, you shall ask me nothing. Whatsoever you ask of the Father in my name.”

Jesus prayed to God with the words:

John 17:3 “…that they might know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.”

Jesus is God, only because we called Him God.
Jesus is the Son of God.
Jesus is the Son of man
Jesus is LORD God
Jesus is the Word of God made flesh
Jesus is the Word of God
Jesus is the true bread from heaven
Jesus is not God the Father
God the Father created the world, the universe and males and females in six days and on the 7th day He rested.

LORD God made the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve, in 6 days, and rested on the 7th day.

JESUS IS GOD, he is God because we called Him God.

No man has ever heard His voice nor seen his shape. including Moses. Jesus is speaking of His Father, God the one and only.

Please note the word "both" here in these Scriptures.

2Jo 1:7 ¶ For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist.

2Jo 1:8 Look to yourselves, that we lose not those things which we have wrought, but that we receive a full reward.

2Jo 1:9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath 'both' the Father and the Son.

2Jo 1:10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed:

2Jo 1:11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds

PS> His Father' name is spelled with a capital G, and is the only true God.

Yes Jesus is God. The Jews Believed that a Messiah would come and save there people. This Messiah would be God In the flesh.

There were prophecies 2000 years prior and the Jews were waiting and when the prophecies were fulfilled and Jesus was born, they missed it.

Jesus was the Messiah He fulfilled all the predictions and he is coming back to fulfill more, So with that being said Jesus is God

Someone pointed out to me once, that either Jesus is God, by his own claims...or the biggest liar in history.

He was crucified for claiming to be God.

As salaamu 'alaikym, my friend.

Insha'Allah, no, the prophet Essa (salaahu 'alaihi wasallaam) is not an equal, partner, associate nor son of Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, and those who claim that he is have been misled by the Christian apologist, Saul of Tarsus, who became known as Paul later in his career.

Insha'Allah, the prophetic writings of the Jewish people of ancient Palestine never made the claim that the long awaited Messiah, Essa (saw) would be the literal "son of God" as such a claim would have been considered as blaspheme by all devout Jews who were, at that time, the chosen people of God.

Insh'Allah, during his lifetime, the prophet Essa (saw) seems to have never claimed to be the son of God. He chose to describe himself as a prophet and he displayed the signs associated with such prophethood. He also descirbed his cousin, John the Baptizer (saw) as the "greatest man born of woman". This is interesting as Essa (saw), known in Hebrew as Yoshua ben Yoseph and Jesus Christ in biblical Greek, was also born of a woman, Mariam (or Mary) as both the ingels (or gospels) and the Holy Qur'an teach this in the revleations contained therein.
Insha'Allah, Paul, after his conversion on the road to Damascus, was rejected by the companions of Essa (saw) in Jerusalem and so he left to "preach to the Gentiles" or non-Jews throughout the Roman Empire. To make his teachings more acceptable to the general populace, he mixed Greek and Roman mythology with the saying of Essa (saw) [as the same had been collected in what has become known as the Didache], taking in pagan holidays and practices and, thereby, inventing "Christianity". Such has been pointed out by many biblical scholars although the current general public seems to either ignore these facts or has yet to become familiar with the same.
Insha'Allah, Essa (saw) is a revered prophet of Islam where his virgin birth, ministry to the Jews, his assumption into heaven and his eventual return is taught.
Insha'Allah, Essa (saw) was a devout Jew, as was his cousin, John the Baptizer (saw) and neither of them would have had any desire nor ambition to create a new religion nor claim to be part of the a godhead of three divine persons in one being. They came as messengers sent by God to call the Jews back to the correct practice of that faith. Such a faith would be the complete submission of the individual to the Will of God. This submission is known as "Islam" by the very definition of that word.
Sadly, many have been and are still being led astray by the twisted teachings of a man who never met the person of Essa (saw), who was rejected by the companions of Essa (saw) and those who had lived with him during his Earthly ministry, and who combined other "gods" with the One True God.
May Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, guide all who seek the truth to the same and to submission to His Will in Islam for their own good and for the good of others.

Anything that I have written or said that is correct and helpful to others is from Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, and all praise and glory belongs to Him and to Him alone. Any mistakes that I may have made are my own and I pray that Allah, Subhanna wa Ta'ala, will have mercy on me, forgive me and lead me to the truth as well as to my full and complete submission to His Will in Islam. Amin.

Alhumdulillah!

Ma'a salaam.

A manifestation of the Supreme Being, perhaps, but not god as how the Christians perceive him, no.
