YES YES YES YES
There's more to war then just getting wounded or killed. There is the time away from loved ones, protecting your comrades, and protecting a time honored tradition.
It is the sacrifices of a few that allow most men now days to live such stupid lives
If you are dumb enough to get shot and stabbed for no other reason than to hang in a bar for free drinks and not get medical coverage by your employer, I think you need to get a life.
If you joined the military perhaps you would learn how "not to get shot and stabbed"!!!!!

First off, you people don't know what you are talking about. I am the wife of an injured newly medically retired OIF soldier. We have tricare but only because my husband got 50% disability rating from the army for his injury. He only got that because I fought long and hard for it.
One thing , people don't realize is that if the soldier doesn't have insurance, neither does the family . Why should I sacrifice my healthcare and life at the hands of the ARMY or the government. My husband has a brain injury, and if it wasn't for the medical coverage, what would we do after the 2 years of free treatment from the VA. Should I lose everything I have worked for because I have to have surgery and my husband is injured and I have to give up my job to take care of him. My advice is check your sources before you speak. Know what you are talking about before you jump the gun. I testified before Congress on March 5, 2007 because of the treatment of my husband, please feel free to research this. Do your research and answer this question before you speak. If it were me that was injured or that served, Should my family sacrifice and suffer because people don't think we should have free healthcare??? Remember this, Your freedom costed my husband his freedom. He gave that freedom so that you could have a good life and we deserve the same. Yes he gave that freedom, freely and without hesitation, and what do you give back, FREE HEALTHCARE, what is wrong with you people??????? Do your research. Talk to people, just don't shoot your mouth off about something you know nothing about.

If you are in the military you already get free health care. You you are a vet from Vietnam or before you can go to the VA for free treatment. If you are just now getting out and served in Iraq or Afghanistan you get two years of free health care at the VA.

Yes, as far as I am concerned, once you join up to live, serve and die for your country, its the least they could do. They should also provide housing, education and post service assistance. It is the irony in this country that drives me nuts, everyone is pro-life, until the child is born, then its someone elese problem, as well as everyone supports the troops but abandon them upon their return, some with ptsd other disabled for fighting, it makes sense for total care for all vets.

Uhhh...there is a difference between fighting for your country and just fighting random people because you are a dumb a*s.
Most verterans have to pay for more than half of their health care....you obviously dont know what you are talking about.

I'm not a Vet but I think that they deserve free health care. All the lives given to protect our country. You bet!

wtf? whats wit ur comment...okay i think they should have the health care (and yes at the expense of the tax payers) look what the vets have helped save you from and what they have done for your country (im Canadian so i believe in national health care) and what does it matter that you've been fighting in bars and clubs your whole life it just means that you need a life and a job to stabilize yourself. perhaps you should get your priorities straight!
