I am trying to find the Italian translation of the word "emotion" and/or of the word "feeling".

"emotion" means emozione; commozione; turbamento:
ex: without showing the least emotion = senza mostrare la minima emozione
it also mean sensibilità, sentimento:
to appeal to the emotions= fare appello ai sentimenti

"feeling" has many meanings :
1.- sensazione; impressione; senso, sentimento: a feeling of happiness= un senso di felicità; feeling of guilt = senso di colpa; I had the feeling that all was not well = ebbi l'impressione che c'era qulcosa che non andava; I know the feeling = so quello che provi; there's a lot of bad feeling about his decision to leave= c'è molto malumore suscitato dalla sua decisione di andarsene
2.- sensazione fisica; sensibilità: a feeling of cold= una sensazione di freddo; there is no feeling in my arm, il mio braccio ha perduto la sensibilità
3.- sentimenti, emozioni; suscettibilità:
to hurt someone's feelings = urtare la suscettibilità di qualcuno.; to have mixed feelings = avere sentimenti contrastanti; he can't put his feelings into words= non riesce a esprimere a parole le sue emozioni;
4.- rancore; no hard feelings = senza rancore,
5.- comprensione, simpatia: to show feeling for the suffering of others= mostrare comprensione per le sofferenze altrui
