I wouldn't assume anything. I do think the things you mentioned are pretty clear signs, yes! and I *don't* think he has to "ask" you, but I do think that the two of you need to talk about it. I know that plenty of women will disagree with me, and say that you should just know, but in my experience if you want to make sure you are on the same page with a man you need to just get it out there. Hope this helps :)

If he doesn't want you to date others, then you are pretty much in a relationship, but you might ask him and get all the details straight between you to. If you dont want a relationship with him go out on a date with someone else

Victim, sounds like you need to come out and ask him where you are in this relationship. Sounds to this old fool like you are involved in a one on one relationship, but you sound uncertain. If you've been seeing this fella for 10 years then it sounds like more then just friends with benefits. Best of luck and remember to talk about it if you are so uncertain.

It could just mean that he's incredibly possessive. He should be a gentleman & ask you to be his steady girl. If you want to be in a relationship he should do it right.
Still, it looks like he likes you. Go for it, but just keep your eyes open and if he turns out to be a dud there are better men out there.

I am going through the same thing right now....all you can do is ask him "what are we?" he will tell you and then you will know. He shouldn't be offended or bothered by you asking especially since yall are sleeping together. You have a right to know what he thinks yall are that way yall are on the same page.

No it does not mean you're his girlfriend. You've lived a very sheltered life, that's for sure.

I would say, that if it bothers him for you to be out with other guys, then he is interested in seeing each other exclusivly.
