how you ever thought your code of morality is worse than you thought when you discover the morality of others?

i have discoverd that many people have a personell code of conduct that is much higher than mine when on the outset of meeting them i thought they were as immoral as myself but weren't.This is not only shamful but embrassing also.

No, moral systems differ and often for good reasons. A "stricter" or more narrow moral code is not necessarily more or less moral than a "looser" one. For example one moral system could place a moral value to personal hygiene while another could just consider it to be a courtesy, neither one is actually "more" moral than the other.

Essentially by considering a different moral system to be more moral than yours, are saying that you're really not aware of why you think an action is moral or not and that you actually have a "real moral system" that you judge other moral codes by.

Actually, I usually find the opposite to be true.
I tend to take people at face value and believe they are as good as they say they are until I get to know them and discover the real them.
I also find this shameful and embarrassing and usually end up feeling like an idiot.

Even as a teenager my elderly aunt always said I was gullible. It used to make me angry. But bless her heart. Now she just calls me a fruitcake.

I have found, that as I have gotten older, my code or morals has also become higher.

I realized my morals were quite low, and I didn't have to compare them to anyone else's morals...
