Shared re-occuring dream.?

Question

When i was a teenager i used to have a re-occuring dream about a old lady drssed in a victorian style dress with a lace trim collar. Her hair was scrapped into a bun and she had these little glasses on. She was in a wheelchair and she would chase me in this dream. It was a really un-nerving dream. My daughter also had this re-occuring dream when she was younger the same description of the woman and alot of other similar details. I never discussed this dream with her so she hasn't just dreampt of something i've told her about. It just happened that she was telling about this strange re-occuring dream she'd been having and it was the same one i used to have. So i was wondering if anybody else has ever experianced this. Or if anybody knows anything about dreams like this?

No she couldn'y have over heard me i never mentioned the dream to anybody. Also she had the dream when she was younger but didnt tell me about it till she was about 17ish. It's just that we both had the dream at around the same age.

Even though you did not discuss this dream with your daughter, could she have overheard you talking about it with someone else? Sometimes we will dream about things we have overheard others say. This could be the case with your daughter. If not, then it's probably just a coincidence. I have had dreams similar to that of my mother and sister. They're not exactly the same, but the in some ways quite alike.

I don't talk about my dreams with my mother, but I do have a strange connection to her like that. One example is from when I was in High School and she was judging at a debate tournament. I was told that she had left to go home, and I believed the person who told me. (She hah actually been stopped on her way out and was begged to judge another round). Thinking she had left, I was walking down a hallway (keep in mind that people were debating, and she was not talking, so I didn't hear her voice) all of the doors were closed and pretty sound proof, and as I walked by a door, I KNEW that my mother was in that room. There are tiny little windows on the doors, and there was no way that I was able to see her by walking by as she was sitting in the corner of the room. I had to pretty much press my face against the glass and look to the back corner and she was sitting there. I've had other experiences with her like that. I can tell when she isn't home, even if her car is in the driveway, and I don't even have to get out of my car to sense it. I've gotten to the point that I take it for granted. A lot of animals have the same type of sense about their family members, it's not strange that humans have it as well.

I used to have a re-occurring dream when I was younger of falling of the apartment building we used to live on but never hitting the black top. It scared me so much!

With re-occuring dreams its your brain remembering and re-living past thoughts.
But with your daughter having the same dream, all i can think of is maybe a supernatural thing, such as a spirit that only has power in your dreams.

I don't mean to freak you out but it sounds like there may be a familiar spirit trying to terrorize you and your daughter. They are demons assigned to families through the ages to do just that. Peace is found in Christ. They must submit to His name. I'd talk to your pastor about this.
