I speak all these like a native, and I am not doing it for attention- it's just how I am. I pick them up on the street, in books, etc etc

Ok, for me, I don't really have a mother tounge- I spoke Russian as a little child, and recently relearned it, but when I was adopted, I learned English.

The major problem I have is that if I get suprised, or mad, I will react in Russian. It makes people mad sometimes, and I never realize I'm doing it

If you can actually speak so many languages it is absolutely awesome. You need to stop paying attention to the people who are rude to you. You are very talented and you need to love yourself for that. Try and think in your mother tongue that ought to help as it will come naturally. You have to conciously correct yourself if you think in other languages.
And trust me, if you can speak so many languages it is a thing to be proud of. You don't have to share this talent of yourself with those who do not know how to appreciate it.

This reminds me of the character Salvatore in _The Name of the Rose,_ whose speech was a mixture of the languages he knew.

I have sometimes done this myself, most notably in Spanish class, when I would mix in Italian words when I couldn't remember the correct ones in Spanish.

It is tempting to use foreign languages, especially when, say, an English word doesn't exactly mean what you want to convey, but a foreign word or phrase does.

I found that, the more languages I studied, the more often this happened to me. The best way I can think of to reduce the occurrence is to think and speak in only one languge at a time. That can be difficult.

You say you 'speak' this many languages yet you are only at school. How are you defining 'speak'? I assume you can say hello, goodbye and a few simple words and sentences but this doesn't make you fluent nor are you a polyglot. It seems you're doing it for attention. Focus on one or two of the languages and get really good at them - far more impressive.

Try to write mostly in English, if that is what most people speak around you. Also even if you react in Russian, it is ok, because it's normal to react in your first language- I react in German

learning different languages just like that is great and you should continue to do so. it's just like picking up any other subject, like becoming a whiz at chess or bridge or go...

the problem i see is that you might be answering someone who only understands English in a language other than English, and there shouldn't be any reason for that. just like children who grow up speaking German to their grandmother, Japanese to their father and Arabic to their nanny, they do not get their people confused. there is no inherent reason that knowing different languages should cause you to react in a language other than that which was used in speaking to you.

if this is happening to you, however, something else other than being language related might be going on in your brain, and you may need to get it diagnosed and treated.

which one of these is your mother tounge?

try to process your thoughts in that language only. It will help you.

It's good you learn many languages, it increases the capability of your brain.
But you should try to think in just one of these. And you should speak to others in their own language, this would make them feel comfortable.

GOOD LUCK! :-)

Yeah. Ignore them if they're rude to you because they're just jealous. You're obviously gifted in languages, and it's something to be proud of. You're going to get far in life with a skill like that.
