well you got the God and religion being different things right, for it is religion that has kept the woman downtrodden, they were treated as second class for virtualy 1900yrs. The fact I always like to mention is that if God is the creator wouldn't he have favoured women as the crearors of life? the bible was written by ignorant men with no other motive than to prove their philosophy so they could subjugate the masses.

I couldn't follow the link, the computer I am using won't go to it, but I think that would be obvious. first, because low 'intelligence' and low socioeconomic status often go together, for the simple reason that both education and nutrition affect intelligence; therefore if someone is struggling to live, they will find it harder to eat well, and to follow education through.
Following on from this, religion is something that gives hope, and people living in very tough situations can often become more aware of their need for God.
also, as you pointed out, religion and God are not synonymous-it is something which helps people give structure to their lives, which is another reason why religion is more obvious when people are struggling.
However, this does not in itself tell you anything about the truth or otherwise of a situation, except for the fact that if something is truly from God, it should be something that can be accessed by all. This is one test which should be always borne in mind when looking at beliefs-it's potential universality.

Jesus came to set up a kingdom and not a religion. Even God says that the smarter a person thinks they are the harder it is for them to believe in Him.
Real wisdom is the fear of God. Don't tell me how intelligent you think you are without admitting this. God is an orderly God and in all of His creation you see order. It is the sin of man that brings chaos and upsets the order as we see in the world today. The real essence of wisdom is spiritual, for life is more than just living by a set of rules or intelligence and being rewarded in some physical manner. Undoubtedly, in this sense wisdom comes from God (Prov. 2:6).

Is it a male chauvinist perspective when Paul commanded men to love their wifes enough to lay down thier lives for them, as chirst had done for the church? Was is chauvinist for Abraham to love his wife Sarah, or his son to work for 7 years to 'earn' his wife, but then being tricked to work 7 more years to gain his life's love?

That's because the Bible was a product of a patriarchial society. In matriarchial societies, like the one that existed on Crete before the eruption of Thera, religion was much more gender-neutral.

seeing as men wrote it, it has always been about them, and the women were 'evil' so we have to suffer.
I think that makes no freaking sense at all, I mean look at the world as it now is, aren't the MEN all starting war right now? aka pain aka suffering aka evil

Yes. Religion has always been MAN made, and women have always suffered from it.
