How will people believe me when I tell them that my mother is narcissistic?

She's always been this way. It's always me, me, me, me. It's like she sends my brother and I down guilt trips just for her doing things that she is SUPPOSED to do. Like giving us shelter or something. She acts like she should be praised for it, etc. We wants all of our money and expects us to give it to her, etc. But, when she's around other people, she's so CHARMING. Peple always go, "your mother is so cool!". SHE'S NOT. She pretends to be all high and mighty, but she's not. She steals money from me and she is always ranting on and on at me about how the company that she works for would be nothing without her because they are all beneath her and idiots. When she is wrong with anyone, she refuses to admit it. She would rather go away yelling, screaming, flinging around than admit that she was wrong.

I'm bipolar, so I'm supposed to be insane. But I still have empathy, I feel bad for the things that I have done when in my episodes and I always apologize. She doesn't. Mother's nvr wrong.

Wow, personality disorder is what she got, WITH bi-polar disorder which is ACTUALY a repsonse to crontic stress. But I digress it doesn't make you INSANE!!! NOT AT ALL!!!! Upset for intense reasons you can't put your figure on (or you figure its better that you don't) yea, but you'd have to be skizo to actually be insane. As for this situation, unless your willing to fight her to get to the bottom of WHY she does this behavior your not going to be much help and are forced to just tolerate the situation. So your choice is deal with it like the rest of society until you can move out, get married and hopfully not continue the abuse, or you find out her past and us it so you BOTH can understand her crazy behavior.....
