God favors no religion. According to the christian version, god says he prefers mercy and not sacrifice, a true religion is one that cares for the orphan and widow, not one developed over years of rape, murder, and conquest.

God isn't into "religion" at all. Religion is the rites and ceremonies used by PEOPLE to worship God. God wants a living, growing *relationship* with each individual who makes up his creation.

Jam 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, [and] to keep himself unspotted from the world.

This is a very difficult question to answer! I have written three different responses and deleted each one. Not that they were fundementally different in beliefs, as I have very firm beliefs, just different ways to present those beliefs.

I believe in Jesus. I believe He is God in the flesh, as the Son, a third of the Holy Trinity. The God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Just as water can have three different forms, liquid, steam, and ice, so too can God have three, )or more if He wished) forms.

I believe in God, that Jesus died for my sins, and is therefor my Lord and Savior. I believe in the two greatest Commandments: Love thy God with all thy might, mind, heart and soul, and Love thy neighbor as thyself. I also believe in the Ten Commandments, though I do believe they are not neccasary if we followed the first two to the letter and spirit intended by God.

I believe that all people, of all religions and lack therein, if they work diligently to live good lives are favored by God. I believe God loves His children, ALL of His children, and that He stands in judgement, nobody else. I believe we are all on a journey of growth here in this physical world, and this journey is between each individual and God. Beyond that I don't know much at all. lol

Many of my spiritual beliefs do not actually fit well with any one religion. There is a reason for this, the fact my parents never took us children to church, never spoke of spiritual matters with us, nor political matters. Our parents decided to allow us to find our own path in life, for better or worse.

Because of this I have been given the gift of freedom, freedom to find my own way in spiritual and political matters. Because of this I don't actually conform to any one system of religous belief, not fully. I have slowly grown my spirituality over many years, and in my search for God, how could God not be pleased? I am not really asking a question, it was just a hypothetical statement really. lol

I believe God loves ALL of His children. He knows what He is doing. Simple as that. We do not know His intentions and it would be arrogant by far to insist of knowledge humans do not have.

So, not really, I don't think God has a prefered or favored religion. I could be wrong, but that is between God and I. I try my best to live a good life, not harming others. I try to live by the commandments I believe are true. I do not put much stock in a book which has been translated to death, then altered to suit whomever was in power at any given time. God did not give us a book, that was a human endevor. It is great for a guideline, but it would be silly to actually believe it is the actual word of God Himself.

I do believe these people existed, and that they attempted to write down their experiances as best as they could. However, it was at least seventy years after the death of Christ that the first words were put down on parchment. Seventy years is a very long time! Memory is fautly at best, so take the bible as intended, a guide, a peek into the past, but don't take it literaly.

Follow your heart and soul, and believe in God. Try to do no harm, to do good to others, and I think God will be well pleased.

God has one way to get people into heaven and out of eternal hell. The rest of the ways are wrong. The only way into heaven is to believe that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again.

"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise" Galatians 3:26-29.
