You wonder don't you? I am on my way to heaven for sure, and I will rejoice if any of them get saved and redeemed from the curse of unbelief.

The Bible is my source.

Well it would probably be a comment made back to something like well what if there really is a hell and they the person would say well thats where all the fun is anyways.

But lets get one thing straight, we dont know what is out there nobody does. I dont even think we could understand it even if we did have somebody tell us. I can tell you one thing though god the all knowing and all seeing person that he would be , i think he would understand why somebody would choose not to believe ... you know god it was like this a bunch of crazy people were telling me you existed and were asking for donations ... well basically you gave me this brain and free will to think and they just had no evidence or even a real good ideal of what you really were.... Then i think god would say something well since you were good natured and at least followed your heart and didnt kill anybody or steal or lie all of your life . I think i can look past that seeing how you know the truth now.

God would be a whole lot more understanding then most people portray him to be ..... I mean come on hes god...he knows all and he sees all, i am sure because you didnt want to follow mice around a maze that they had no clue what was going on and couldnt find their own way out ... is he going to punish you for this? Does god want you to follow blindly and not use the one thing he gave us that is very important. A brain....

The intent is mockery.

Many Atheists feel Christians are a bit self righteous. That 'real' people misbehave, that good behavior is boring, that most fun involves a little sin.

Hence if all the good (aka boring) people are in heaven, it follows the fun people are in hell.

Buy keep in mind, they view hell as purely mythical. It would be like you saying someone was shot by Cupids arrow. One doesn't have to believe in Hell, or Cupid, to use them as a mythic reference.

It's just an expression, we don't actually believe in hell. It's funny to say those things, so we say them. If I make fun of a retarded person or something, I say "Wow, I'm going to hell for that one, then again, I was probably on the list anyway." Religion has created these artificial constructs, so we use them because they are part of a common societal belief, even if that belief is not our own. It's the same as saying, "Oh my god!" We don't believe in god but we say it anyway because the phrase is common. We attach no significance to the actual words themselves.

I'm an Absolute Realist, which is beyond Atheism. I was raised in the south by a family heavily into Southern Baptist. Because of that I say a lot of things which have religious connotations though I know there's no supernatural being called god. I personally couldn't go to hell, it doesn't exist, except in the mind of those who believe it does.

It's called sarcasm and irony. See an atheist figures that if a Christian is trying to scare them by saying they're going to burn in Hell, the best response is indifference. People don't know how to deal with indifference so the preaching Christian is left mouth agape and quiet.

I think it could be because there is a huge number of "faithful" Christians who are of the opinion that if you are not one of them then you will burn in hell forever and delight in telling people this.....you know because Jesus taught "and remind people God will burn them unless they join your really cool club"

Like most religions, there sure are a lot of christians who love to consider people burning for eternity and giving people gruesome details about what their eternal punishment will be. Real nice huh?

Because it is sarcasm used to highlight the audacity of the belief in an Eternal Hell.

I don't believe in God, but if evidence became available, I would change my belief. I would still not believe that He would be willing to torture humans for eternity, just because they misunderstood his will, or didn't have enough evidence to believe in him, or were convinced by the actions of his followers that he couldn't exist.

Belief in a God with a nature like that seems abhorrent to me.

Hi, my name is Skalite. I'd like you to meat my friend Sarcasm. You two clearly have a lot to talk about, having never been in the same room together. Oh you were? You just never met, I see. Funny how things work out sometimes in our lives.

To show you how NOT worried we are.

Based upon the claims of Christians, Hell would be far preferable to Heaven. But we know neither exists.

Hell doesn't exist. I would never say that. That kind of answer would probably come from an angry teenager with an attitude problem...lol.
